Fighting procrastination: Do not force yourself to do something you don't want and/or you don't need to do...

As I progress with my procrastination fight, I started to feel about some tasks I'm giving to myself, that some tasks are not even things I want to do... Well that's nothing unusual, we have to do a lot of tasks we don't want to do in our lives, but now I'm talking about tasks you feel that you should do, but you don't want to.

If you want to be muscular or just fit, you will have to workout and if that's really what you want, you will be less likely to procrastinate it. But if your task "workout" will be in your tasker just to fill the empty space, the chance of procrastinating it will be very high. And that will only give you bad feeling about not doing it because when you were planning that day, you told yourself to do it...

Fighting procrastination is not about spending every second of your life doing something useful... I know that it sounds so amazing - to live life to it's maximum, but your life won't be the best it can be without adeqaute rest. Without resting, you will only find yourself whining about being overworked and in need of rest later...

Fighting procrastination: starting my daily tasks list

I'm reading a book, and a lot of articles about fighting procrastination. A lot of people that are successful in beating procrastination are talking about the importance of daily tasks lists.

Tasks lists, to-do lists, organizers,... there is a lot of possibilities how to record tasks you need to do later. But daily tasks list is about recording every task you either need or want to do every day!

There are tasks that you probably already do daily and so automatically that you don't need to record them in such list (e.g. brushing teeth, taking a bath/shower,...). But there are tasks that you don't do everyday even though you want to (e.g. workout, waking up earlier,...).

For tasks like this, there is a big probability of procrastinating them or even forgeting about some. And that's the reason to create your daily task list.

Difference between a free time and a "free time"

Hey guys!

One of the most common reasons why people fail to fulfil their plans are simply because they do not have enough of time. They do not have all the time they expected to have. And why? Because they don't know the difference between their "free time" and their actual free time...

Free time is a time you have for yourself, your hobies, for your friends and family, etc...

Fighting procrastination - procrastinating the fight

Hey guys!

Reminder of what is the procrastination
Do you know that bad feeling when you want to do something and know it would be right to do it. But you are just not about to start now... Maybe later today... Or tomorrow... But you keep promising that you will really do it. Yeah, and that's the procrastination.

My inspiration
Today while I was reading some blogs about it, I found interesting facts about procrastinating. It's always amazing to find out that you share similiar or even same problems with all the people around the world.

What inspired me to write this post was reading about people who really want to change themselves but they procrastinate the fight. They know that it's not good for their productivity, quality of life and a lot of other aspects, even moral. But anytime they tell themselves: ,,okay I'm going to be better, I'm actually going to fight it!" They end up back on Facebook/Tumblr/Twitter/G+/ spending most of their valuable time...

Fighting procrastination - realizing

Hey guys!

First thing needed to be done when you want to start a hard fight with procrastination is realizing that you're procrastinating.

Remember: Procrastination is almost always connected with bad feeling about my recent or actual activities that can end up as a stress or even depression.

And that is the best way to find out which activities are procrastinating for you. It's not the same for everyone and it depends about what you want to do and what you have to do for it.
That means that what's procratination for one person can be a must for another person.

Fighting procrastination - start

Hey guys!

I'm currently fighting (and I will be fighting) a very hard opponent. Well it actually isn't a human-kind opponent.
It's procrastination... Very agressive and very strong opponent to fight. And it's a fight thats fought whole life. Fight that cannot be win, but fighting it will teach you how not to completely lose it or surrender to it.
