Fighting procrastination: Do not force yourself to do something you don't want and/or you don't need to do...

As I progress with my procrastination fight, I started to feel about some tasks I'm giving to myself, that some tasks are not even things I want to do... Well that's nothing unusual, we have to do a lot of tasks we don't want to do in our lives, but now I'm talking about tasks you feel that you should do, but you don't want to.

If you want to be muscular or just fit, you will have to workout and if that's really what you want, you will be less likely to procrastinate it. But if your task "workout" will be in your tasker just to fill the empty space, the chance of procrastinating it will be very high. And that will only give you bad feeling about not doing it because when you were planning that day, you told yourself to do it...

Fighting procrastination is not about spending every second of your life doing something useful... I know that it sounds so amazing - to live life to it's maximum, but your life won't be the best it can be without adeqaute rest. Without resting, you will only find yourself whining about being overworked and in need of rest later...

Taking a video of my wheel during driving using cheap car camera

Few months ago, I got a car camera as a gift. At first I thought how cool it is, but to be honest, it's useless for my trips to work and back. Of course there is always a chance of getting into an caraccident, but...
And the need of hiding it everytime I leave the car - so no one will try to get in my car to steal it...
Well... it ended up on one of my shelves, getting covered in dust slowly.

Is it worth using LAN cable instead of Wi-Fi on your notebook/laptop? (test)

It's more and more common today that people buy notebooks instead of PCs. Because of it's portability, the place it takes to store it and probably because they simply believe that those tower cases under tables are too old-school and they believe that notebook with the same setup as desktop PC has the same power. There is also a lot of those who only use the notebook on a static place everyday.

I also bought new notebook not so long ago, altough I still preffer powerful PC with normal monitor, keyboard, mouse and speakers. I needed notebook because of it's portability. But when I'm at home, I only use it on my table next to my PC and that made me think about the sense of using Wi-Fi.

Best ways to learn languages better

Most of the people are stuck in one country using only one language from their birth. But the world is much bigger than only one country and there is a lot of languages out there. In order to being able to talk with people from other countries, you have to learn another language. And learning a language is kind of hard if you're not actually using it somehow. I will tell you how I was and still am learning english. And I hope it will be helpful to everyone else who is learning any other language.

Fighting procrastination: starting my daily tasks list

I'm reading a book, and a lot of articles about fighting procrastination. A lot of people that are successful in beating procrastination are talking about the importance of daily tasks lists.

Tasks lists, to-do lists, organizers,... there is a lot of possibilities how to record tasks you need to do later. But daily tasks list is about recording every task you either need or want to do every day!

There are tasks that you probably already do daily and so automatically that you don't need to record them in such list (e.g. brushing teeth, taking a bath/shower,...). But there are tasks that you don't do everyday even though you want to (e.g. workout, waking up earlier,...).

For tasks like this, there is a big probability of procrastinating them or even forgeting about some. And that's the reason to create your daily task list.

Sell things you don't use instead of storing them

This arcticle is aimed at potential hoarders and people that can't save money. But I'm sure it's worth reading to everyone with free time. I believe that there is a lot of people with a similiar problem.

Saving money is often an issue. We have bills to pay, everything is expensive and we're made to buy useless stuff we don't even need or we know that it's bad (e.g. it affects our health). Also, a lot of people don't have the will to save their extra money.

I am one of these people...

Stupid posts about stupid posts are stupid

Stupid people posting stupid posts about stupid people posting stupid posts. How stupid that is?

Time from time, people probably have to prove something to the others to feel better. A lot of them often have nothing to prove it, because they're simply not doing anything interesting. So they at least try to act a like they're better person than everyone else.

If you have account with at least few friends or people you follow on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, G+ and/or another social networks, you surely saw (or even wrote) at least one post about "the other people" posting and sharing crap.

The question is - what makes your actual post about this fact not a crap ? It's the same like whines about the others taking and posting stupid photos or videos. You're only writting it to get attention, you're missing so much.

Phone camera macro lenses from eBay

Hey guys!

I found a passion in taking macro photos with my smartphone - Sony Xperia S (12Mpx), but as you probably know, macro capabilities of any smartphone/compact camera without additional lenses are poor... You can get very amazing results, but if you cross some distance and get too close to the object, you will get nothing but a blurry picture and (mostly on smartphones), when you get too close for more details but still can focus, you probably won't fit the whole object into picture... I found out that there is a cheap gadget available on the internet, that can improve your phone to get better macros as a result.

Because sometimes I wasn't too satisfied with my phones macro capabilities (although it can take very clear macros if there is enough light for it...) I decided to try that macro phone lens gadget (0,67x wide - macro). I ordered it from some eBay seller (china of course :-) ) for about 2.50$ And it finally arrived in my mailbox today.

Difference between a free time and a "free time"

Hey guys!

One of the most common reasons why people fail to fulfil their plans are simply because they do not have enough of time. They do not have all the time they expected to have. And why? Because they don't know the difference between their "free time" and their actual free time...

Free time is a time you have for yourself, your hobies, for your friends and family, etc...

Self praise does not stink! But...

Hey guys!

You surely heard something like "self-praise stinks" after you told someone about your success. And it doesn't feel good. A lot of people will try to prove you that you shouldn't be so proud about things you have done. And it's wrong! But...

Feeling good and proud after successfully completed task is okay!
And the only reason why people often do not like it when someone else is successful is that they are not, or they think like you're stealing them their chance of success although they did nothing to achieve it... I also know that feeling and I'm sure we all do. It's probably a human nature to think like this. But it doesn't mean that it's okay to think this way! It's nothing else than being envious...

Easy way to organize your day-by-day life

Hey guys!

Maybe you read my earlier article about how you can help yourself with organizing your life. Now I will show you one of the easiest way to do so.

To-do lists
Have you ever heard about "to-do" lists? You surely had.
It's a simple list of anything you have to do later and when you did the thing you just erase it or cross it out.

With this list, you can keep track of any upcoming task. It's like a shopping list - when you have the goods you have written down on it, you cross it down and easily know what you already have and what else you do not have yet...

Fighting procrastination - procrastinating the fight

Hey guys!

Reminder of what is the procrastination
Do you know that bad feeling when you want to do something and know it would be right to do it. But you are just not about to start now... Maybe later today... Or tomorrow... But you keep promising that you will really do it. Yeah, and that's the procrastination.

My inspiration
Today while I was reading some blogs about it, I found interesting facts about procrastinating. It's always amazing to find out that you share similiar or even same problems with all the people around the world.

What inspired me to write this post was reading about people who really want to change themselves but they procrastinate the fight. They know that it's not good for their productivity, quality of life and a lot of other aspects, even moral. But anytime they tell themselves: ,,okay I'm going to be better, I'm actually going to fight it!" They end up back on Facebook/Tumblr/Twitter/G+/ spending most of their valuable time...

Car with human eyes

Hey guys!

Have you ever been thinking about cars like living creatures? Were you ever imaginating how would a car look with eyes? I think that everyone did. And also, most of the cars viewed from against their front looks like they actually have faces.

I had that idea a lot of times but now I used my older macro pic of my eye and photoshoped it onto my car. Renault Megane 1.6e (1996). You could see it in previous post.

Transparent hood

Hey guys!

Got a little bored today so I took my camera, tripod and car keys to take few photos of my car for editing in photoshop. I remembered some older picture of a car with transparent hood, so I told myself that I will try to do it too.

My car is old Renault Megané 1.6e (1996) and it's not even washed on the photo. But it still looks kinda interesting with "transparent hood".

Here's a result of my 10 - 15 min. work :)

Chill out a bit and start organizing your life more

Hey guys!

Do you ever feel like you should be doing a thousands of things at the moment so you just sit down and do nothing because you feel powerless? Chill out a bit!

Problem is that people aren't capable of doing more things at the same time. You can only think about one problem at a moment. Even though it feels like you're thinking about more problems at the same time, your brain is only switching from one to another...

Car drivers will definitely know this. Remember that time when you were driving with "full head" and nearly crashed or made some other mistake while driving? Yeah you probably know that. It's not only in driving but in everything you do. But while driving, it's more dramatic because not focusing on your road can cost you a life...

Fighting procrastination - realizing

Hey guys!

First thing needed to be done when you want to start a hard fight with procrastination is realizing that you're procrastinating.

Remember: Procrastination is almost always connected with bad feeling about my recent or actual activities that can end up as a stress or even depression.

And that is the best way to find out which activities are procrastinating for you. It's not the same for everyone and it depends about what you want to do and what you have to do for it.
That means that what's procratination for one person can be a must for another person.

Fighting procrastination - start

Hey guys!

I'm currently fighting (and I will be fighting) a very hard opponent. Well it actually isn't a human-kind opponent.
It's procrastination... Very agressive and very strong opponent to fight. And it's a fight thats fought whole life. Fight that cannot be win, but fighting it will teach you how not to completely lose it or surrender to it.

Why is my nickname JaMiskater?

Hey guys!

Some of you might ask why is my nickname JaMiskater...
I use this nickname throughout the internet approximately from 2002 - 2003 so I'm kinda used to it now.

But why JaMiskater? It's really simple.

JaMi comes from my original name Michal Jačka.
Skater because years back I loved skateboarding, I was a skateboarder and my simple nick JaMi looked weird to me so I added a skater to it.

I'm not a skater anymore, but I still use my nick in this form because there is a lot of people with names like mine (not same but somehow similiar) and they are also as unoriginal as I am ;).

Creating a web accounts/pages/blogs/emails as only JaMi was without chance most of the time.
No chance in online games login registrations even on first day after starting of new server.

And honestly, I think my nickname is still okay compared to nicknames like xxxdogxxx...

Have a perfect day guys,
bye until another post.

First content for experimenting..

HEY GUYS!

This is the first content on this blog so I'll be able to experiment with it and learn how to blog and how to edit things on blogspot.

first_content_img
1st image, just to try ;)

This blog will be here for me to share things I'll find interesting enough to blog about it. It can be everything in my life... Such as pictures, videos, music, stories, opinions, experiences...

I post some of it on my Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and even Soundcloud. You can find my profiles on even more social networks but I don't use them right now/yet.

I'll try hard not to offend anyone with my posts here. But honestly... I think it's impossible here on internet. There is always someone offended by something and someone with the same or similiar opinion...

Okay...

So let me play with settings etc. and soon I'll be adding some real content.
Hope you'll find here something at least a bit interesting.

AND I should mention that english is not my native language. So sorry about it and if you'll find some bigger mistake that will make something not understandable, please give it few seconds and let me know about it.

I'm from Czech republic, the country with it's own language I kinda hate simply because it's used only here and you can have a real problem with communication even right after you cross our borders...
So I preffer to use internet in english as much as I can without losing conections here in my country...

Okay now really bye for now.
